Terms & Conditions

Last updated 19 July 2026.

This site is operated by Lost Outdoors (ABN 58 654 292 501), trading as Rent Ridez. By using it you accept these terms.

The agreement that actually governs your rental

Your rental is governed by the written rental agreement you sign, not by this page. The summary below is provided to help you understand how we work before you apply. Where anything here differs from your signed agreement, the signed agreement prevails.

Using this website

  • Content on this site is provided for general information. We try to keep pricing and availability accurate and it updates automatically from our fleet system, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free at any given moment.
  • Prices shown are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. A price shown here is an indication, not an offer — your rate is confirmed in writing when your application is approved.
  • You may not use this site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with it, or scrape it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
  • All trade marks, text, images and design on this site belong to us or our licensors, and may not be reproduced without permission.

Applications

Submitting an application does not create a rental. We assess every application against our eligibility criteria and our insurer's requirements, and we may decline an application without giving reasons. We will confirm the vehicle, rate and start date in writing before anything is binding.

How a rental works, in summary

  • Weekly, all-inclusive. One weekly payment covers comprehensive insurance, registration, servicing, tyres and a weekly kilometre allowance. Fuel or charging, tolls, parking and fines are yours.
  • Kilometres. Rentals include a standard weekly kilometre allowance, with higher allowances available at additional cost. Usage above your allowance is charged at the per-kilometre rate in your agreement.
  • Bond and first week. A refundable bond and your first week are payable before you collect the vehicle. The bond is returned at the end of the rental, less any amounts owed under your agreement.
  • Payments. Weekly payments are taken automatically from the payment method on your account. Failed payments may attract a fee and, if unresolved, may lead to suspension and recovery of the vehicle.
  • Insurance excess. An excess applies to any claim. The amount depends on the vehicle, your age and how the vehicle is used — rideshare use carries a higher excess. Your excess is stated in your agreement.
  • Who can drive. Only drivers named and approved on your agreement may drive the vehicle. Letting an unapproved person drive can void cover and make you liable for the full loss.
  • Ending it. Standard rentals have a one-month minimum. Notice periods, return condition and end-of-rental charges are set out in your agreement.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability arising from your use of this website is limited to resupplying the relevant information or service.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
